The community and camaraderie of main street in a small town is something that is hard to find today. In this painting I imagine what it might have been like in the best of times on a cold winter weekend just before a show was about to start at the theatre. I call it "The Warmth of Small Town Living," as a tribute to the good-hearted folks you might find along the sidewalk in a place like this.
